| New Beer on the Horizon: Dark Horizon from Nogne O |
|
OK, so we normally cover American craft beer here on DrinkCraftBeer.com... but this is an American influenced beer from Norway's own Nogne O, and Massachusetts' own Shelton Brothers are importing it, so we figured why not? From the label: Dark Horizon is a "hybrid" - an ale that pairs the roasted bitterness of coffee with a wine like complexity. Dark Horizon is indeed a global brew - with inspiration from the USA, malt from England, bottles from Germany, the name from Japan, sugars from Mauritius, hops from the Pacific Rim, yeast from Canada, coffee from Columbia, and, of course, our brewing skills here in Norway. Do yourself a favour and share this bottle with those you deem worthy. A Norwegian brewer that claims to be "brewing in traditional styles but thoroughly inspired by the boldness of American brewing?" I'm in! Nogne O's Dark Horizon 75 IBUs 16% abv Crazy. Sauce.
