New from Leinenkugel: Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout

Looks like they're adding an Imperial Russian Stout to their Big Eddy line which already has a dIPA in it. Hopefully this may hit MA? I'd love to get something beyond the Sunset Wheat or whatever it's called.

From the bottle:
This brew boasts a selection of 11 malts and grains balanced by three different and distinct hops. Dark and complex, with chocolate tones and notes of dark fruits, it is daring yet delicious. Travels well. Ages well.

11.7%abv in a 12 oz. bottle.

New Surly Fest Lager - Beer for a Stein from a Can!

New beer from Surly. I think they're label best describes it:

A traditional Oktoberfest bier from Surly? Nein! If you want one of those, grab your passport and head over to Munchen (bring us back some pretzels). Our Fest inspired beer is brewed with imported malted barley, rye, and a German lager yeast straing. We hop this beer with a single variety... and then we dry hop it. A single hop, dry hopped, rye lager bier? Ja!

Damn! This is the first, and only, reason I wish I lived in Minneapolis! Of course, this one comes in a 16 oz. tallboy can.

New: Saranac Imperial Stout

Part of their High Peaks Series... From the label:

Mt. Marcy, Skylight, Algonquin... Majestic Adirondack High Peaks - They are the inpiration for our "High Peaks" series. A line of beers that are bigger, more complex and flavoerful: Beers that are meant to be sipped and savored. The second in our series, Saranac Imperial Stout, is brewed with eleven malts to balance a delicious chocolate and coffee roasted flavor with the spicy herbal character of the generous kettle and dry hops. At 50 IBUs this beer captures the essence of the Adirondacks. Enjoy!

We love Imperial Stouts, so can't wait to try this one! Hope we get it in Boston!
