Samuel Adams Patriot Homebrew Contest 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 3
http://www.samueladams.com/promotions/PatriotHomebrew

From the site:
The Samuel Adams Patriot Homebrew Contest gives New England fans a chance to follow in Jim’s homebrewing footsteps and have their beer brewed at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and served at Gillette Stadium for the 2008 Season!

This is pretty neat! If your homebrew wins, it'll be served at Gillette Stadium. I love these homebrew contests the Sam Adams has been doing! Due date is 12/20/07, though, and it has to be at the Boston Brewery by then! Check the rules on their page for more info. I wish I had something brewed already!

That's such a cool deal. I like that Mr. Koch, in staying true to his roots, has been putting on these homebrew contests for a while to help the homebrewers share a little bit of the spotlight.

For real! Jim Koch has done more for craft beer than most realize. Anyone who says Sam Adams has sold out is flat wrong in my book. They do what they do and, while a lot of their beers are super challenging, they're delicious session beers. And they still make some of the best craft beer out there.

Agreed. Most people outside of Boston just see the BBC as a "Giant on the hill" and never bother doing their homework. It's pretty sad when you criticized for success.

Wow. That's too bad. Though the 'anti-bandwagon' is and always will be the 'bandwagon'.

And the winner is Adam Walsh, with an India Pale Ale (IPA)! He wins $2000, and his beer will be brewed at Samuel Adams (Boston Beer Company's) Boston brewery to be served at the Samuel Adams Brewhouse in Gillette Stadium for the 2008-2009 NFL season.

IPA on tap at Gillette? Hopefully this will be on for the Revolution soccer season (or REAL football as some call it), as I may actually go to that!

That's awesome. Congrats to him. Let's see, if I do my math right, that should only run about $10 a pint comparatively.
