These threads give great info on using Olive Oil to aerate your wort, instead of shaking the carboy. Something about helping the yeast skip a step. I may have to try it.

Now I just wonder how long until homebrew shops start stocking 0.0000833mL eye droppers!

Interesting info.

As mentioned, i have no idea how you'd be able to measure out such a small amount. I wonder how bad it would effect the head if using a larger amount... ?? The toothpick idea sounds like it would probably come close to being the best way to get a small amount. I've thought of down the road using an air stone or another method rather than shaking and sloshing things around to aerate.

If ya do try it out, post up the results.

Will definitely do that! I'm worried about head retention too.
