This week the staff of Bauer Wines welcome Ken Powers of the Victory Brewing Company. Ken will be in the shop to sample you on a range of Victory's line of fine German- and Belgian-style offerings. Victory has just released their fall seasonal, Festbier, an Oktoberfest-styled lager for the cool autumn months. As it's still quite warm out there, we'll also be tasting their summer seasonal, Sunrise Weissbier, an easy drinking hefe, the always popular Golden Monkey tripel, and their under appreciated Belgian-style quad, V-Twelve. All of these beers will be available for purchase at the time of the tasting. Come give 'em a try.
What We're Tasting
- Victory Festbier
- Victory Golden Monkey
- Victory Sunrise Weissbier
- Victory V-Twelve
This tasting will be held Thursday, September 4th, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. As always, the tasting is free to all interested parties of legal drinking age (please bring your ID). Cheers!
- Josh
This is all great beer! We actually looked all over for the Festbier for our Oktoberfest Article (to be up shortly), but couldn't find it anywhere... I guess we were just a few days early. Anyway, they do some of the best German style brews in the country, and their Belgians styles are quite good, definitely check this out if you're in the area! The V-Twelve is especially tasty... Also, I don't know if Josh still has it, but asked about the V-Series Saison... That thing has aged BEAUTIFULLY! I had one the other day and it's ridiculously good right now.
