So a while ago I posted a rumor about Southern Tier blending their Choklat and Jah-Va Stouts for a new beer in their Blackwater Series:

Yesterday, I spoke with a Southern Tier representative who has confirmed that this was only a rumor. They had tossed that idea around, but it isn't happening. So what will be the next stout in their Blackwater Series? Creme Brulee. Yup. Southern Tier Creme Brulee. It will feature some vanilla and burnt sugar notes and will taste just like Creme Brulee the representative said. Interesting. I can't wait to try this! Blending it with the Jah-Va and Choklat would make a nice desert it seems.

Thanks for the update Jeff. I LOVE Creme Brulee. Can't wait to give this one a shot as all of their other brews have been excellent. Your St. Patrick's Day article got me back into blending again. We were doing Old Horizontal/Hop Wallop black and tans and floating a little Buffalo Trace bourbon on top. Your version of Irish Car Bombs sounds awesome. I'll have to give it a try. I might try half a shot of WWS and fill the other half with some Dogfish Head Honey Brown Rum that I have. I might just have to try a little mixing of the Jah-va and Choklat in my fridge sometime here soon.

I've done java + choc and it's goooood.

Damn, the Old Horizontal/Hop Wallop sounds good... especially with the Buffalo Trace. And the Car Bomb with the Honey Brown RUm is something I could get into for sure! They make some good spirits down there!

It was really good. We were going to do the Storm King in place of the Old Horizontal, but when I checked my reserves, there was no Storm King to be found.

I LOVE Dogfish Head Honey Brown Rum. Never tried any of the other flavors. Their Blue Hen Vodka is pretty good too. Makes a good Martini. Never tried their 'Takeela' or 'Jin' though.
