From Mike over at Cape Ann:
Firstly, we would like to thank the Judges at the Great International Beer Festival for awarding Fisherman's Ale with a Gold Medal in the Light Ale catagory and Fisherman's Pumpkin Stout with a Silver Medal in the Spice Ale catagory!
Unfortunately, you will be hard pressed to find the Pumpkin Stout by the bottle anywhere but a few fine placed do carry it on draught. I think Sunset and Lower Depths both have it. There are a few others but I do not have a recent reoprt in front of me to tell you. If interested in knowing, please beer mail me.
Our Doppel Bock, Fisherman's Navigator is now available for the winter! I think Jacob Wirth will be pouring it soon. Kinsale has always been a past supporter of it as well.
We are still pursuing a pouring license from the City of Gloucester and have an appeal in with the State. We shall see...
The State of Maine will soon carry Fisherman's Ale and IPA but we are still trying to get our distributor to place an order.
We will soon be in Rhode Island with the Brew and Ale through McGlauglin & Moran and anxiously await our license from the State.
If at Mohegan Sun, make sure you stop into Jasper White's Summer Shack for a Fisherman's Brew as it just went on tap there this week.
As always, feel free to stop by the brewery and refil your growler for a mere $6. Jeremy is usually there coming up with another tasty style. (I understand he has a barley wine in the works!)
Thanks for all your support.
-Mike
I'm pretty stoked about the Navigator! I'll have to check that out. Also a barleywine is always fun in cold weather!

Sorry, the stout was or the Navigator? I kind of want to drink some Navigator while wearing my RayBan Navigators... just for the irony.

The Pumpkin Stout was GREAT! FINALLY someone else does something more interesting then just added a bunch of spices to their standard lager/ale. I mean Smuttynose actually used real pumpkin in the mash and it's a decent brew and DFH Punkin' Ale is a solid offering, but this was great to see another style utilized. Hat's off to them.
