I've never heard of it. I don't know if we get it around Boston.

They have it around, last place I saw was at Julio's. I heard mixed reviews for this beer, from people calling it "Buffalo Bills Pumpkin piss" to some saying it is the best pumpkin offering out there. So I guess I'll have to do what I normally do, and give it a try for myself. I also have to give Brooklyn's Post Road Pumpkin a try as well, before they took over I had the post road and it was awful so I'll have to revisit that again.

I really like the Post Road Pumpkin, as do most people I know who've had it if that helps at all.

I've sampled two brews by Buffalo Bill's Brewery. Orange Blossom Cream Ale and the Pumpkin Ale.

Both offerings I was not to fond of. They weren't bad, just not for me.

The Orange Blossom Cream Ale to me litterally tastes like Orange Soda flavored beer. I mean you can detect you are drinking beer, but it really tastes like Orange Soda. I was not able to really pick up on anything else.

Same thing with the Pumpkin Ale. A lot of people call it pumpkin pie in a bottle and I guess that's a pretty accurate description. They use roasted pumpkin in the mash and add cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, but to me it was just overspiced. All I could really get out of it was the spices and sweetness. The aroma was pumpkin and a lot of spice, as was the taste. No hop flavor at all and a little bit of malt, but overpowered by the sweetness of the spices.
