their new commercial says they add triple the hops/hops 3 times during the brewing process, with so much hops in the beer as they say, how come it tastes like carbonated piss water?

it's kinda like if I had 1 penny and someone gave me two more. I have 3 times as much, but it's still not much

i just thought beers like that didnt use hops to brew beer, cause i know i havent tasted any

Legally the Federal Government mandates that it's not beer without hops. Even in hopless gruits made at brewpubs, you have to add the slightest pinch.

The light lagers usually come in a 4-6 IBU, which is barely anything. That said, Miller Lite is the light lager that most craft brewers drink, as it does have just a kiss of hops compared to the others.

Also, all the commercial is saying is that they add hops three times to the boil. So what? Like Devon said, if I gave you a penny three times, you still only have 3 cents.

I'm right there with you, man! My girlfriend always gets annoyed when the commercial comes on because I get irritated about it. haha

What's annoying about that ad is that they are copying some of DFH's description for their IPA's. I don't want to be marketing whore, but 60 min IPA is hopped every minute for every 60 minutes. Obviously we add a lot more hops than Miller lite, but that's our message.

Yeah, I can definitely see how that would start to get you guy's goat. As long as they don't start to say they make off-centered lagers, though, I think you're safe, haha.
