i wanna find out some of the better beers from this place, the food looks good, ive been there a few years ago smelled good but only had a few heineys as i wasnt as big of a craft beer guy, what are some good beers lister there?

plus im seeing some terms like German Maier Bock, or Dubble, or Tripel what are these beers like, also when they say its malty, or hoppy, what is a malty beer or happy, which is bitter or not or what do these terms mean as far as taste goes?

I haven't tried the blanche de brooklyn, but if you like blue moon or hoegaarden id def give that a shot.

The flying fish farmhouse from last year was pretty tasty, i assume this years is as well

Long Trail is just a solid beer, nothing fancy at all but its good, I kinda take it for granted since its so easy to get here, but if you haven't had it it's worth a try

I've actually been wanting to try the Otter Creek Copper Ale, so I'd say that's worth a shot too. Let us know what you end up getting

Wow, that's a pretty decent list. First, your questions:

Hoppy is the bitter taste in beer. It can also lend a floral/pine/earthy/citrusy smell to it as well (depnding on the hop), which will translate into flavor a bit.

Malty is normally sweet. A massively malty beer would be thick as well usually.

A Maier Bock is a german style of non-hoppy beer. It's slightly sweet, and the Rogue one is quite light and easy to drink. Delicious I think.

Dubbels and Trippels are Belgian styles. Often they have a clovey, spicy smell. A dubbel is dark, malty, sweet, but not too thick. It's almost a table beer. Little bit of cocoa perhaps. Trippels are lighter colored, but higher alcohol. Usually they're pretty dry, but can be slightly sweet. More spice in them than the dubbel by far, usually.

As for beers to recommend:
The Blanche de Brooklyn is tasty, I had it at the brewery I believe.
Maredsous is a very good dubbel! Definitely worth getting if you're feeling adventurous, it's a really palatable beer.
Rogue Dead Guy Ale is just simply easy to drink and delicious.
Flying Fish Farmhouse was good, like Devon said, last year. I assume it'll be good again. It's not going to be hoppy as in bitter, just a little floral smell.
I love the Smuttynose IPA. It's really bitter and has a great hop smell. But if you don't like hops, stay away.

well just got back, had the otter creek, very good, some things not on the site they had on ta were good as well, had a lagunitus and something called golden stream i think, cant remeber, all good beers

If I were going there, I would likely pick either the La Rulles Summer (love that brewery!) or Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale. Both are excellent Belgian ales, if you're into the respective styles. It would be nice if they were a bit more specific about which Ayinger beer they had in bottles, since Ayinger brews several styles.

Lagunitas' Censored Ale is always an exceptionally flavorful stand-by. I frequently have a couple bottles in my fridge.

If they were asking $9 for a 750ml of Corsendonk, that's quite reasonable for an on-premise price. If they were asking that price for a draught pour or a 330ml bottle, that's out of control expensive.
