Just got back from TPH (dropped by on my way home from work Tuesday and Wednesday)... and WOW! The Breakfast Stout was great, as always (actually, for some odd reason, the tap version was much better than the bottle this year), and the Mojo Risin' is a very good dIPA. Not as bitter as I expected, but a great dIPA. I thoroughly enjoyed both. Not to mention, both were being sold for $4 (as was Oak Aged Yeti, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine 2006 and 2007 and a slew of other amazing American micro brews!) Had those Tuesday.

Wednesday, I had the Breakfast Stout, again (I love that beer!!!), and then the 2007 Bigfoot. I don't care what the beer geeks say (and we all know they're going to argue and say 2007 isn't as good as it was in the past), this is an amazing brew! The hops were aggresive, the malt was strong and balancing... MmmmmmmMmmmmmmm! Do not let anyone tell you this beer has lost a step over the years. If they do, buy them a Keystone Light and proclaim them Sir (or Lady) Lame!

TPH has been falling behind Sunset Grill (in my mind at least, its main competition) as their draft list has been uninspired, their service a little weak and other issues... But this week has definitely helped them in my mind! Their draft list is phenomenol right now! Prices are better then Sunset on what I looked at and service was fine. Look out Sunset... you took the title this summer, but TPH could take it back if you aren't careful!
