My Local Brewpub 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 3
Brewer's Alley http://www.brewers-alley.com/

My resthaven. It's a brewpub set up in an old firehouse. The layout is pretty cool. Huge 16ft ceilings, entire brew works encased in glass for all to see while enjoying drink, separate dining area as well. Food is great. They have a chicken bacon carbonara pizza that is unreal. Every Thursday night is Steak or Lobster night for $12.95. AWESOME. On with the brews!

They do a Pilsner, which is a popular brew and the only one they bottled for the longest time. It's a really good example of a German Pilsner. They also do a traditional Kolsch which is excellent and they just started bottling recently. Their other staple is their IPA. It's more of an English style IPA, so the hop notes are not as citrusy as say an APA or an American hopped IPA. A real easy drinker. They also just started bottling this one as well.

Their other year round brews include a good Hefeweizen, an excellent English Nut Brown Ale, one of the best Oatmeal Stouts I've had, a Dunkel Weizen, a Maibock and also a Scotch Ale.

Their seasonals and limited releases include their Black Forest Barley Wine, Highland Ale, Imperial Stout, New Moon Ale, Smoked Porter, Wedding Ale, Three Kings Spiced Ale and I'm sure a few others I'm forgetting.

My favorite limited release they do is the Resinator. It's an Imperial IPA that checks in at 7.2% ABV and uses plenty of citrusy hops (like simcoe, cascade, warrior, chinook, tomahawk, nugget etc...) and it's oh so tasty. The best thing about it though? It is served CASK ONLY.

They always have at least one cask on hand at all times. Usually it is the IPA, but every so often they mix it up. So I always stop in to see what's on the cask. Last weekend the Resonator was back so I'm hoarding a growler to myself at home right now and getting as much of it as I can while it's still in the cask at the bar.

Best thing about this place though is they do not price gouge. They could easily charge $4, $5 heck $6 a pint for this delicious cask conditioned nectar, but they do not. It's cheaper then a Miller Lite bottle. Superb.

Place sounds damn tasty man! That's awesome, especially the regular cask offering. They do growlers of their cask? That's pretty bad ass.

We're actually heading over to Cambridge Brewing Company tonight, one of our local brewpubs. It's a pretty great establishment for beer lovers:

Also, their seasonals now: Big Man Winter Ale (a malty hoppy strong ale), Blunderbuss Barleywine aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrles and Late Harvest I.P.A., brewed with Chinook, Columbus, and Centennial, and a full hop-back load of fresh, wet, CBC homegrown hops added in. Mmmmm!

Not at all. Silly me for forgetting to add that.

Oh my is it. Absolutely. I was stoked and I always fill mine up at least once whenever the Resinator is on hand.

That Blunderbuss sounds amazing. I love the Buffalo Trace distillery. Their run of the mill bourbon is cheaper then Maker's or Knob and is better IMO and their George T Stagg is just plain unreal. That Harvest IPA sounds quite tasty too.
