If you haven't had a beer on cask yet you should give it a go while you're there. IPAs on cask are usually quite tasty

well i finally went
let me tell u about the food first, i had wings and a blooming onion for appetizer, both decent
main coarse was an open face rueben, and their butterfly fries, both amazing
now onto the beer
i had a sample of all their beers
VICTORIA'S GOLDEN ALE - your normal generic stlye beer, nothing special other than it being a little stronger
J.J.'S RASPBERRY WHEAT - wheat beer with a very strong raspberry taste
Chocolate Stout - i normally dont like stouts but this one i did, alot, wasnt too thick or strong had a burnt chocolate tase with a cherry aftertaste, delicious
IPA - may have been the garden state ipa on their site, i dont usually like ipas too much but this was good, started off smooth ended up bitter, wasnt bitter the whole wat through,
Oktoberfest - this was my favorite beer there, very smooth and delicious
Avenel Amber - good amber, decently hoppy, very good
Bitting's Best Bitter - wasnt as bitter as it sounds, mildly bitter the whole way through
then i ordered the cider jack, very good
my favs were the oktoberfest stout and ipa, the first 2 were too plain and i dont like raspberries too much
i dont know y this was ranked #2 in the US it seemed dead but we did go at 5pm on a saturday and the crowds were just starting to come, i liked it, would go there again, nice place good food, very good beer, although not too strong as say a victory, i still enjoyed them

Nice, glad to hear you enjoyed the place!
Bitters are actually not a very bitter style, despite their name. It's an English style, and is actually known for it's strong malt presense. It's called a bitter because it's mildly hopped which, back when it originated, was bitter. In our day, though, you'll be pressed to find someone who finds an English Bitter actually bitter. An Extra Special Bitter (ES maybe. But bitters themselves lean much farther towards the malty side.
