Just wanted to let you Craft Beer Drinkers know, Cape Ann Brewing Co. (makers of Fisherman's Brew and Fisherman's IPA) up in Gloucester, MA may be getting a new brewpub on their brewery site. A carpenter working in the facility said they were building a brewpub.  Interesting news! One more reason to check out Gloucester this summer! The news had been that the owner had been planning to begin construction on such a project in late summer, so this would be right on target for that timeline. Nothing in stone yet, but just an FYI all.

OK, Mike from Cape Ann Brewing has confirmed the renovations, as he says:<br /><br />We have in fact started renovation to the front of our building which may eventually become a brewpub but will at least start as a tasting room. I have no approvals as of yet but will start on that shortly. If we do open an actual brewpub, it would be with a very limited menu. We don&#039;t want to compete with the local restaurants which serve Fisherman&#039;s Brew but would like a nice clean atmosphere where you could hand out and enjoy several styles of good beer.

Since it has been a while on this... I've heard there were residential neighbors against Cape Ann Brewing having a tasting room. Increased traffic I believe was the primary concern.
