Hey all. So, in Boston, if you're a craft beer fan you know all about Publick House, Sunset Grill, Deep Ellum, Roadhouse Craft Beer & BBQ, Redbones, Kinsale and more. There's a ton of very beer-centric restaurants and bars around that are known to have ridiculous tap lists.

But, what about the restaurants that have good tap/bottled beer lists, but aren't beer-centric? Parish Cafe in Boston, 51 Lincoln in Newton and PICCO in Boston's South End all have good to great beer lists, but aren't known for beer. Mainstream establishments providing me with a selection such that I can choose an appropriate beer for any meal is really the measure of acceptance of craft beer into the mainstream, not a few niche places serving everything on Earth.

What are some more that you know of? Let us know city and state, and more if necessary! I'd especially love to hear of any place in the Greater Boston Area.

I like The Independent in Union Square, good beer list and good food. I have not been in a while and writing this makes me want to go!

Have friends that live near they, they talk about it all the time but I've yet to go. Sounds like I need to.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.-Dave Barry

The independent is a great bar - also try the bar next door Precinct(SP) DFH and Victory on draft, The End of the World Bar in Somerville/Charlestown line, (Stone, DFH, ton of Belgians), The Squealing Pig and The Penguin in Mission Hill, The Dive Bar (same owners as Armsby Abbey in Worcester), The Other Side Cafe across from Mass Ave. So many come to mind.

Nice, thanks! Hoping to do this article shortly. Craft beer isn't going to grow if it's only in certain specialty bars. The way to see the growth is mainstream inclusion.

Friends talk about Precinct quite a bit sounds like another bar I need to hit up. I also still need to try 75 min IPA. Sadly I broke my leg recently and just haven't been able to get out and try it.
