This is one of the most phenomenal craft brew bars in the city. They have a rotating menu of beer on tap (it changes almost weekly). Their food is delicious. It's your typical pub grub with a more gourmet twist. Their events are fantastic - the DogFish Head dinner was unbelievable. It was the best food pairing I've encountered and I work for the wine industry. East Village Tavern really took their time and constructed a thoughtful meal for the great brews. If you are in Manhattan and are looking for a great place, I highly recommend them. I have also enjoyed Hop Devil Bar & Grill (no relation to Hop Devil Beer) and Copperfield. For the Belgian lovers, try Vol de Nuit. Just be aware that they don't vary their selection. What they do offer is fantastic, true Belgians. Hop Devil has a separate Belgian room that serves less true Belgian beer and more beers brewed in the Belgian tradition from all over the world. Think Unibroue more than Corsendonk.

i have heard about the hop devil bar and have heard good things, maybe mext time im in the city ill look for the East Village Tavern and give it a try
