He’Brew Miraculous Jewbelation 8 Review
For their 14th anniversary, Shmaltz Brewing Company is releasing an 8-pack of their craft beer featuring their He'Brew anniversary brews going back to their 8th. Each has been rebrewed to give you 7 bottles to look back into time with. The 8th bottle? Well they've gone and blended all 7 beers and aged that in Rye Whiskey barrels. Then they threw in a free glass and some menorah candles so that you can use the bottles to celebrate Chanukah after you're done drinking them.
We here at DrinkCraftBeer figured what better way to feature these eight craft beers than in a special series of articles featuring one each night for the eight nights of Chanukah? So, with that said, here's Night One of Craft Beer Chanukah:
He'Brew Miraculous Jewbelation 8!
Appearance: Pours a dark, dark opaque brown (but it’s definitely not black) with a creamy, thick 3 finger head the color of a regular coffee.
Smell: This beer is roasty malt and coffee aroma. Like a big, toasty brown ale, this beer smells smooth and creamy. The malt is definitely the star in the nose.
Taste: And the smoothness carries through to the mouth, this beer is just silky with mild carbonation. There are notes of bittersweet chocolate in the taste. Very little hops in this one, this is a great imperial brown ale. Cocoa lingers in your mouth long after swallowing, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. Despite being 8% abv, the alcohol is nowhere to be found in this one. Great for a chilly day, this is a great way to warm up for the first night of Chanukah. L’Chaim!
Check us out tomorrow night for Night Two of Craft Beer Chanukah!
