Well it's no surprise to us, but it seems that AB is poised to release it's own wheat beer called "Sun Dog". Coming in at 5% ABV and using at least 25% wheat malt this appears to be a spiced wheat ale competitior to Coors very succesful Blue Moon.
Edit Jan 3rd: Looks like we have an official label now. |

Pliny the Elder, born in 23 A.D., was a Roman naturalist, scholar, historian, traveler, officer, and writer. Pliny, and his contemporaries, created the original botanical name for hops, "Lupus Salictarius," meaning "wold among scrubs." Hop vines at that time, grew wild among willows, likened to wolves roaming wild in the forest. Pliny the Elder died in 79 A.D. while saving people during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. He was immortalized by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, who contined his uncle's legacy by documenting much of what his uncle experienced during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. This beer is an homage to the man who discovered hops and perished while being a humanitarian. Unlike many of the Russian River Brewing Company beers which are ageable, the beer inside this bottle is meant to be consumed fresh. Keep Pliny the Elder refrigerated and consume fresh to experience the explosive hop character.
Around the edge of the label: Respect your Elder: Keep cold, drink fresh, do not age! Pliny the Elder is a historical figure, don't make the beer inside this bottle one! Not a barley wine, do not age! Age your cheese, not your Pliny! Respect hops, consume fresh! If you must, sit on eggs, not on Pliny. Do not save for a rainy day! Pliny is for savoring, not for saving! Consume Pliny fresh, or not at all! Does not improve with age! Hoppy beers are not meant to be aged! Keep away from heat! 1 Pint Bottle 8%abv |

3000 miles, that's what auto makers recommend as the distance your car should travel before changing out that nasty used up oil. Sure. Yeah right you betcha! 3000 miles and not a foot further. I'll get right on that. Except, that isn't older viscosity. Nope. This is one seriously sludgy - I just traveled 10,000 miles sort of beer. It's the way we want it to be. We make no apologies for the viscosity of this thing. Could you run your car on it? Well, we say most likely not. But then again, we're never tried. Perhaps it could! At Port Brewing, we make Old Viscosigty as one of our year round beers. A portion of each batch of Old Viscositgy is aged for at least 6 months in use Bourbon barrels. Each year, we also select some of the best barrels from our cellars and blend them together for the release of Older Viscosity Ale. We'll let you decide which one you like better. Now if you'll excuse us, we have an experiment we need to conduct with the old '53 Chevy out behind the brewery.

English Style Barleywine Ale aged in oak whiskey barrels. Finished with French Strisselspalt hops & champagne yeast.
Our fourth in the Firehouse Ale Series, Pompier means "fireman" in French and represents our continued commitment to celebrate and honor the men and women who respond to the call day after. Pompier is rich and smooth with complexities that come from French Strisselspalt aroma hops followed by 3 months of barrel conditioning in oak hogsheads with champagne yeast. Pompier is a vintage quality English-Style Barleywine with a French twist. Appreciate it's fine character now or cellar it for many years to come. 1 Liter Bottle 14%abv |

Yeah, it's an import... but it's from the Scandinavian Craft Brewers Guild! Plus Massachusetts' own Shelton Brothers import it. So we have to give it a little love.

Wee wee (insert dirty French laugh here). Biere de Garde or "beer for keeping" is a traditional French farmhouse ale brewed in March for drinking during the spring and summer months. Like another great French tradition, surrender your taste buds to Garde Dog's toasted aroma and spicy, malty sweetness. Wee wee. Haw haw haw.

The label doesn't give away any information on this, but we tried it at a beer fest and it's quite delicious!

Yeah, it's an import... but it's from the Scandinavian Craft Brewers Guild! This is DrinkCraftBeer.com after all!
All Others Pale - as in "All Others Pale in Comparison" - is our cheeky take on an American tradition, but, naturally, with a Danish touch. It is a well-balanced, light-bodied thirst quencher, perfect after a hard day's work or on hot summer days... but loads of fresh green hops and a subtle malty background make this pale ale the refreshing choice year 'round! 1PT .9oz bottle 6%abv |
