Another New Bell's Beer for Illinois?

Remember this article we wrote a while ago about Bell's making beer that said, "Brewed especially for the people of the great state of Illinois"?

Well, looks like they've added a porter to that series:

What Will Mayflower Brewing Company Be Making?
I'm going to bet a porter, an IPA, a pale ale and a golden ale... Why? Because those are the options on their keg label. Oh, and they totally have room for a write in... Matt Steinberg specialty beer? One can only hope! But I'm looking forward to trying these new brews... Especially the porter, I love me some porter!

Smuttynose Big Beer Series Baltic Porter - Next in the Big Beer Series, coming soon
The Smuttynose Big Beer Series big beers in big bottles, released seasonally in very limited quantities. Native to northern Europe, Baltic porters evolved from British porters once exported to the Russian hinterland. Unlike their British cousins, Baltic porters are often brewed as lagers, the tradition we've followed. This beer is big, bold & smooth, with malty flavors reminiscent of coffee, dark fruit & raisins. Share one with you comrades!

Boulder Beer Company Obovoid Empirical Stout
Empirical evidence tells us that you're going to love Obovoid Empirical Stout, an oak-aged oatmeal stout as dark in color as deep space. Aging Obovoid on oak adds an earthy character to the roasted notes and bittersweet chocolate finish derived from the black and chocolate malts. Obovoid has a rich mouthfeel and pours a cream, off-white color head. Obovoid Empirical Stout is the 8th Release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Sierra Nevada 2008 ESB Early Spring Beer

This is our twist on a traditional English style ESB. It starts with a big hop aroma and a reddish-copper hue, then moves into the full-bodied sweetness of British grown Maris Otter malt balanced with earthy hop overtones.

Cambridge House Brewpub Now Bottling

So I've heard a lot about this Connecticut brewpub, the Cambridge House. There have been rumblings of them bottling for a while now. I'm glad to see they are getting label approval. Looks like they're finally going to put some of their much talked about beer in bottles. Hopefully we here at DrinkCraftBeer.com can get some and try it!

Southern Tier Gemini

Hi in the winter sky, two parallel stick figures are visible & known as "the twins," or the constellation Gemini. The astronauts of the 1960s flew as teams of two in a program named after the celestial pairing. At Southern Tier, we have our own fraternal twins, Hoppe & Unearthly. Blended together & placed in this vessel, the mission of our Gemini is to travel high & take passengers on a journey far into the heavens!
